A Great Loss.
I would be remiss if I did not say something about the passing of Marlon Brando, 80. A strange man, great actor, great loss. It is a shame what his life had reportedly come to be. I must admit I am not terribly familiar with his work. For all of the movies I watch, I have not seen many of Brando's. I've seen parts of Godfather, On the Waterfront, and A Streetcar Named Desire, none entirely. The best that I have seen, he wasn't the star of, Apocalypse Now. I am not really qualified to recap his career, but please read more over at CNN.

I also read today that James Doohan has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. For those unfamiliar with Mr. Doohan, he is best known for his portrayal of Chief Engineer Montgomery "Scotty" Scott on Star Trek for 3 television seasons and 6 feature films. He is reportedly in the early stages of this degenerative disease, he still has long term memory, but recent details, like what he had for breakfast, are iffy. He is 84 years old. I wish his family the best, I know how terrible this disease can be, my Great Grandfather had it, I remember it from my childhood.
