The series stars Lance Henriksen as Frank Black, a former FBI agent who has moved to Seattle after suffering a breakdown or something. Here he uses his ability to see crimes to work for the mysterious Millennium Group, a private criminal investigation firm. This is another "trust no one" type show, as the Group's motivations are not known, and Black starts becoming suspicious.
It was criminally neglected when it originally aired, hopefully it will find new life on DVD. The show ended so abruptly, that it's finale was actually done on the X-Files.
This set includes 22 episodes on 6 disks, with featurettes', TV spots, commentaries, and more. It looks like a nice set. It will be nice to this series again, it has been so long!
There are a few other releases this week worth mentioning:
- The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Volume 2. This show is hilarious! I bought the first volume blindly, and will probably get this one too.
- All in the Family Season 3. Took long enough for this one to come out!
- Highlander 2: Special Edition. It will be interesting to see which cut this is, I haven't found out which version it is.
- Starsky and Hutch. Pretty funny take on the cop show with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.
- The Big Bounce. Elmore Leonard adaptation with Owen Wilson.
- Van Halen: The Best of Both Worlds. A two disk set spanning Van Halen's careers with David Lee Roth and Sammy Haggar.
