DVD's.
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Vol. 1. This disk came out a few weeks back, finally got around to popping it in. One thing I should point out is that I have not seen the Ghost in the Shell movie. Now after seeing this, I must see it. The four episodes on this disk are fantastic! I really wasn't sure what to expect, but it had action, good characters, and excellent animation. The thing I liked about it, was that while it is more straight forward than a lot of anime is, it has a good story to tell, there is more just below the surface. The transfer is good, colors are sharp, no blurring, and the audio was also top notch.

Texhnolyze: Inhumane & Beautiful. I watched the first volume of this and it looks like it may have potential as an ongoing series, but these first four episodes were a bit dull, especially the first one which has no dialogue at all. The animation was OK, but it wasn't all that exciting. Given a chance I may check out future episodes, but I won't buy them. Probably borrow them.

Television.
TNA: Impact Wrestling. I know I haven't brought it up before, but I am a wrestling fan. This show has been on for almost two months now, in a horrible time slot, 3:00 on Friday afternoons, I guess that's better than in the middle of the night. They put on a good show, a nice alternative to the WWE, a wider array of moves, different stars, and a six sided ring. I'd recommend checking it out, the style is a cross between ECW and WWE.

Monk. Last week had one of the better episodes so far this season. Monk goes undercover in a Walmart type store to investigate a murder, a store which employs his former, and disgraced, partner from when he was on the force. This opened up some funny situations for Monk's condition, yet didn't seem quite as contrived as some of the previous setups so far.
