Top Ten

Welcome to another edition of the Top Ten list. This week you'll get a glimpse of some of the worst films that grace my DVD shelf. Varying tastes demand that you may have a different opinion, but this is my collection, so my voice rules. Onto the bad movies, in no particular order:

  1. FearDotCom: Saw this in the theater and thought it was awful. Picked up the disk for cheap, thinking it would be better in the home environment. It's not.
  2. Iron Monkey 2: Loved the original, figured this would be halfway decent. It's not, I can barelys it through the whole thing.
  3. Mongkok Story: Movie from Hong Kong that I just could not get into, rather boring.
  4. Devil in the Flesh: Rose McGowan can't act. Not sure why I picked this, but it was cheap.
  5. Robot Monster: Obtained in a two-pack with Plan 9 From Outer Space (which is Citizen Kane next to this). Words don't describe how goofy this is.
  6. Ready to Rumble: A movie about wrestling, co-starring wrestlers and starring a non-wrestler, funded by a company on the slide it not a good idea.
  7. Dungeons & Dragons: Incoherent mess, bad acting, story, directing. This could have been good.
  8. Ghostly Bus: Another film from Hong Kong, dull, boring, lifeless.
  9. Wild Criminal: As much as I love Asian cinema, they make pretty bad movies too, even action films.
  10. Black Mask 2: City of Masks: The original was decent, this sequel is nothing like that and makes no sense at all.
  11. Special Mention: Old School: The only film that I have sold from my collection without replacing with a better version. It just didn't strike me as funny, although it is better than most of the movies on this list.

That does it! There are probably many more that can/are be considered bad, but these were the first that jumped out at me. There are also numerous "bad" movies that are a lot of fun to watch. Let me know what you think.
