Peter Jackson's take on King Kong is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Tonight, NBC and it's family of television stations gave a sneak peak of the trailer for the big ape.
I have to say, I am impressed. I am sure many of you are curious to see how Peter Jackson can top the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Can he surpass it? Will he flop? Can he maintain his integrity in the Hollywood system? Did he exhaust his creative juices? Personally, I think this film is going to be great. I cannot wait for it.
If this trailer is any indication of what this film is going to be like, it is going to be huge. Jack Black, Adrien Brody, and Naomi Watts star in this sure to be blockbuster. The trailer gives us a wonderful glimpse at the new world of Kong. Black is a filmmaker, first searching for his elusive leading lady, than for the legendary island that houses Kong. We see New York circa 1930 or so, we see the mist shrouded island, we see dinosaurs, giant insects, a tied up sacrifice, a roaring Kong. Man this going to be great!
