Picking up the mantle that has been left behind by the likes of Peter Jackson and Sam Raimi, the Spierig Brothers are there to pick it up and run with it. They have created a next generation horror film in a similar vein with Evil Dead and Dead Alive.
I imported this film from it's native Australia last year. I quickly discovered that it is a very good movie. I don't think it's quite as good as those earlier efforts, but it does have enough ideas and fun with them to aspire to future cultdom.
The trailer itself looks good, hinting at zombies, meteor strikes, and something even more sinister. This is one I definitely recommend seeing.
