Chris Penn Found Dead

Actor and brother of actor Sean Penn, Chris Penn, was found dead in a residence in Santa Monica this evening. The actor was 43 years old. At the moment there are no details, but no foul play has been discovered. This has been reported by ABC in Santa Monica.

The younger Penn brother had appeared in over 50 movies since his debut in 1979's Charlie and the Talking Buzzard. Some of his career highlights include Rumble Fish, Footloose, Pale Rider all in the early 1980's. As the 80's drew to a close and the 90's began he appeared in Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, and Mulholland Falls. More recently he's appeared in After the Sunset and Starsky & Hutch.

He never broke out as a big star, but he made a good career for himself blending in as one of those recognizable faces in a supporting role. I cannot claim any great detailed knowledge of his work, but from what I have seen, he was a good actor.

Like I mentioned earlier, at the moment there are no details concerning the cause of his death. My thoughts are with his family in their time of loss. I will try to post again if I learn of any more details.
