Movie Media: The Kite Runner - Poster, Trailer

This movie looks very good. I know, the point of any promotional material is to make the advertised film look good. Still, I think this looks very good. It is based off a novel by Khaled Hosseini, it was adapted by David Benioff (Stay, Troy) and the film is being directed by Marc Forster (Stranger Than Fiction). It is about two Afghani friends who are separated, one moves to California and years later is returning to his homeland to help his friend, whose son is in trouble. That sounds simple enough, but I am sure there is much more to it. The film's release had been pushed back so that the families of the two featured boys could be moved out of the country to avoid any backlash against their involvement with the feature.
