Here is an interesting bit, it looks like Ghostbusters III is going to become a reality. Original 'buster Harold Ramis confirms as much, reported at the Chicago Tribune (among other places around the net).
In addition to Ramis working on the script and set to appear, Dan Akroyd and Ernie Hudson are both on board with Bill Murray reportedly interested in being involved. I wonder if they could work Rick Moranis, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts in?
What little is known is that this film will be a passing of the torch of sorts, with the older Ghostbuster team leading into a new younger team. Now, this is leading to all sorts of speculation as to who the new members will be. This speculation is made easier by the fact that Judd Apatow is on to produce for Sony Pictures. This gives a good idea of the acting pool that is likely to be skimmed. Imagine Seth Rogen (who already has Harold Ramis for a father, having appeared in Knocked Up), Jason Segel, and James Franco, perhaps?
All I really know is that I am game for some new Ghostbusters.
