When you hear the words Cattle Decapitation in relation to music, you had best associate them with an indescribable slab of metallic brutality. Right? How else can you really think when faced with a band name like that? You surely aren't getting any lame radio-pop. In any case, the extreme death metal act is readying the release of their new album, Monolith of Inhumanity, and have unleashed the video for the track "Kingdom of Tyrants." If you like your metal to the extreme side, you will want to check this out.
The band, with director Mitch Massie, have created an epic mini-movie for the song. Coming in at just over 9-minutes in length, it delivers a mind melting blast of bizarre imagery and a song that damn near caved my head in. I cannot say these guys are favorites of mine, but they definitely have a vision and set out to achieve their goal. The imagery seems to have been pulled right out of Tetsuo: The Iron Man (if you haven't seen that and have a thirst for bizarre film, see it). It is like a post-apocalyptic world where people are melding with technology and mud. As for the song, it is fast, heavy, and mixes things up in terms of pace and sound. It really is a good song paired with a crazy video. I am certainly looking forward to the rest of the album.
See it for yourself:
